Nice one! Very red/pink bias though thanks to the modified camera.

Hi Houghy,
There are several methods. Probably the easiest is in Photoshop using a curves adjustment on the red channel only. I just grabbed the centre of the curve and dragged it down a little while watching the colours histogram to make sure I didn't clip it.
In ImagesPlus you can do the same thing with curves or you can select the red channel only and use pixel maths to multiply the red channel by about 0.7.
The first is curves in PS, the second is pixel maths in IP.

Tony, what would have caused the red bias in the first place....even though the camera is modded that wouldn't make everything red bias including bright star...surely.

Oh yea!
A camera with no filter at all (as i think Houghy's is) is very red biased. Your 20Da has a different filter which lets through the Ha you want but still blocks the infrared, which causes the problems. Many people who use a modded camera start their processing (after calibration & stacking) by multiplying the red channel by 0.6 before doing anything else.

Thanks for clearing that up Tony...your a champ.
So Houghy could just use 2" IR filter to get better colour.

That would most likely work. Not having a modded camera or an IR filter, I can't be sure.
