I have an ETX 125 optical tube assembly with ultra high contrast coatings, for sale.
It is the dark blue tube (not the pink printed tube). Diameter = 127mm, f/15, Maksutov-Cassegrain optics, with an inbuilt flip-mirror for either right-angle viewing or axial viewing.
The corrector is not perfectly blemish free - there is one "spot" of about 2mm, at the 9 o'clock position, which is resistant to a dust blower, and a concentric line and smudge at about 11 o'clock which looks to be of the same aetiology. I have not tried to clean either of these marks. You can see them in the photographs below.
I obtained the OTA + mount about six months ago from a fellow Ice-InSpace member, intending it to be a grab and go scope for lunar occultations, but it has not seen starlight (or moonlight).
I have instead cannibalised the mount for other purposes, and so the OTA is available for an interested Ice-In-Space member to acquire.
Price $200 + post (but pickup from Western Sydney would be preferred).
Email to tonybarry2008 AT mac DOT com NO DOT AU in the first instance, or PM here at Ice-In-Space.
Regards,
Tony Barry
