First Light for new lense

Received my newish 100-400 Canon L lense today. This is a quick snap of luna just to test it out tonight. At 400mm, 1/25sec f5.6, ISO100 on 400d. Crpped and slightly sharpened in CS5

JJJ, I am mainly intending to use it for terrestrial stuff, hopegully a bit of wildlife stuff. We are heading off in a couple of months for a 6 day jungle tour in Borneo, so I wanted a good long zoom for birds, monkeys and hopefully orangutans.
Any astro uses will be purely a bonus. I was thinking of whacking it on by el cheapo EQ2 mount and do some short unguided exposures at 400mm, things like Eta, Antares region.
