Testing out flatteners with the TMB92SS. Captured this Cat's Paw Nebula NGC6334 the other night. 13x8min subs with 12nm Ha. Flattener for this shot was the Orion Flattener with 10mm more than the theoretical spacing according to the equipment's advertised backfocus etc. I think the field is pretty good. See the attached 9 panel mosaic of the corners, mid-edges, and centre. Just a bit eggy in that top right? Maybe sensor tilt?

Looks pretty good, Troy. Have you tried running CCDInspector on your subs?

Doesn't look too bad Troy. Maybe a slight elongation in the top right image. Interested to hear what the outcome is.

Thanks all. I think I know someone with CCD Inspector, might see if he's in a good mood and will run it for me. :)

That's a nice image Troy. I always find that Ha is closer to what you see at the eyepiece than the highly colored images sometimes posted. The flattener also looks a winner.
Not sure how valid this is, but plugged default value of 2 arcsec/pixel into the CCD Inspector trial I've been running Troy with result as per below. Hopefully not breaking any trial rules posting, and expect values for relative curvature should be correct?
Great Cat's Paw too BTW!

Thanks guys. It is good to be able to post an actual image. I've been tinkering with my gear for what seems like months.
And thanks for the 3D, Rob. Sent you a PM :D

Troy, looks like that flattener combo is working well. I wondered how was working out. Do you have any adjustment on the TBM focuser to fix the top right tilt?
