Just a positive thread here. I recently bought Joshua's LX200. This is not a small box and fingers crossed for the 4800km trip in the back of a TNT truck from Albany to Perth to Sydney to Gold Coast. Josh packed and addressed the scope extremely well and it arrived today as stated in excellent condition. Thank you indeed Joshua.:thumbsup:

Yes they do travel well if packed well.
I too once bought a complete package lX200 from a fellow IIS member a couple of years ago and it had to come from Perth in the same manner a mentioned here, it too arrived in excellent condition.

They are heavy, we needed two people to stick it on the permanent pier, and it functioned perfectly.
