8" Dob Scope SkyWatcher $499

Hey all,

I have been looking at upgrading my scope as I'm interested in seeing other things like DSO and some galaxies, etc.. I have 2 reflector scopes at the moment. Not TOO bad I see some pretty cool stuff, like recently saw M42 in detail but blurry, far from sharp image. I knew what I was looking at because I did the research kind of thing. If I just happen to look at it one day without knowing the quality of the scopes I haven't I wouldn't pick it out.

Anyway, I have found this here (http://btow.com.au/sky_watcher_203_8_dobsonian_elegant _popular_clearer_telescopes) and it's the cheapest I could find. I really want a GoTo Mount but I wont have the money until at least end of this year to blow on a goto scope.

Is that a good scope and cheap?

If you check the IIS classifieds you will see a Skywatcher 10 inch collapsible DOB for only $400.

Took a look, didn't even know IIS had an area like that and sent a couple of PM's for a 10" and 12" DOB with a couple of accessories!

If you miss out on those I bought the collapsible version of the 8inch Dob from BTOW just last week for the same $499 price. It is a newer model than what they have on their site and comes in Black.

So far really loving it.
