Still testing out various pieces of equipment in varying combinations.
I had a little bit of clear air last night in Brisbane and decided that since it was just past 9:30pm that M66 had transited and so decided to image it with the QSI583 camera using my 10"SCT at native focal length.
I had previously used the demo version of Pempro2 to critically align my observatory mount to the pole and so after rebalancing for the 10" found that my guiding was the best that Ive ever had using PhDguiding and a separate 72mm WO guidescope. In fact it was a total doddle to image at 2500mm for 10 min subs.
Anyway after M65 approached the neighbour's roof I decided to do flats, etc with Nebulosity 3 and shown below is the resulting 1hr40min of subs.
Im continually amazed at the detail this scope gives with the 8300 chip.

10min subs at 2.5m is no easy feat Allan. Happy to hear all the effort paying off. Nice galaxy shot. Love the dust lanes that are coming out.

Thanks Rob, I've managed 40 min subs at 2500 mm but last night was golden as everything just worked perfectly. The dome rotated on queue, the rebuild computer was fast and responsive. All programs worked as described and the mount, camera and guiding just disappeared into the background. A really great night and went to bed with a smile on my face.
I'll get some colour for it when the qhy10 reappears.

It's OK thanks, Allan. I did get everything together in the end after swapping to my backup OSC camera. I haven't used my mono camera for a while and somehow a large mysterious particle has found it's way onto the sensor. The rest of my problems were user error resulting from too much time away from the scope...

Beauty, thats impressive Allan, great result for that F/length, tho I was sqizzing stellarium and think this is NGC 3623 next to it unless I'm mistaken ? I'd love to image at this scale one day, Gallaxies are so intreguing ?

Good pick up Bob, I should say M65=NGC3623 not 27!!!
I also agree Gallaxies are intreguing but I also think galaxies are intriguing.

I was pleased to image the triplet a while back, but to get so much detail in just one of them is great. Really smooth and well balanced image. Well done.
