Hi,

Here's another image from Thusday night, IC 4604 around Rho Oph. I love this blue nebula and the star field. The most difficult thing was to tease out the nebula, the blue colour just came out with 50% saturation.

Telescope 8” f/4 astrograph on a HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Unmodded Canon 1100D at ISO 800.
12 x 300 sec subs ISO 800.
9 dark frames, 9 flat frames and 9 bias.
Stacked in DSS and post process in Phototshop.
Two images, one with a little more contrast.
Cheers,

Justin.

Nice one, although the severe image compression here isn't doing it justice. It'd be great to see a higher quality (or smaller) version of it?

Hi,

Here's a less compressed version, hope this is better?

Thanks,

Justin.

Nice work, Justin!

I got some subs including the same area on Saturday night but I haven't had a chance to process them yet. The seeing was very ordinary and I was having some camera issues so I don't have high hopes...

Cheers,
Rick.
