The American entertainments presenter Dick Clark has died.

He wasn't well known in Australia.
I had to Google him to see who he was. I have heard the name before but had no idea who he was.

Our Australian version of Bandstand was hosted by Stuart Wagstaff.

Ken, He was on a few shows on TV over here in the 70's and 80's and maybe even early 90's.
