Hi All,

Imaged Saturn last night in very good seeing. My RGB & R data shows considerable hi res detail in the region of the great storm remnant as well as the new candidate for the latest SED's outburst.

Have attached 3 RGB & 807nm IR data sets along with 3 R channel data sets resampled 130%.

Have also attached links to animations of RGB, 807nm IR & R data, all resampled 130%. The detail in the IR is very subtle, especially so when looking at the still images, the animation should help in revealing the structure that relates to the storm remnant.

Fantastic Trevor. Sorry for my late reply but like you, I'm quite busy right now & am not really 'foruming' much. It's a case of image > process > post > stow the data to external HD > get some sleep in somewhere > mow lawns > etc etc etc > then repeat. So apologies to you & all my other imaging friends here if I have or will miss anything posted.

Nice images Trev. Spectacular Enke showing through. Looks about the best image of the apparition on this site so far. I might have to get out there again myself.

Thanks very much Marc, it was a very memorable night.

Thanks very much David.

Thanks very much Ray, looking through my data since April 10th and looking at Birds data I am of the opinion that the apparent changes we are seeing at the moment relate more to changes in the seeing than any intrinsic brightening of the spot. Over the years many of these SED's related spots have brightened quite rapidly over a month or so and this one seems to be just maintaining its brightness. Hopefully it will turn into something special over the coming weeks, certainly worth imaging it at every opportunity.

Thanks very much Rolf and yes, it was great to see the quality of the live feed.

Thanks very much Bird, wish you were here.

No need to apologize at all Asi I am in the exact same boat, since receiving notification that Cassini RPWS had detected SED's on April 10th I have gone into full on Saturn storm mode. Imaged the source the night Georg sent out the email and since I have imaged it on every possible occasion, we can see it on 3 out of every 4 nights. It has worked out that it is visible around 3am, midnight and then about 8:30pm followed by a night where it is not available at all. I am swimming in data, have some Mars data from the first couple of nights that I captured while waiting for the storm and just have not been able to get to it.

Thanks very much Stephen.

Thanks very much Paul, it would have been all the more enjoyable if you & Bird had been here to share it with.

Thanks very much Mike.
