there are a few others in this view also, but these are the main ones I think.
So, very happy to have the observatory up and running again here in Yass and this image was taken with the FSQ106N and STL11K.
Total exposure time was 21 hours and 45 mins comprising of:
SynLum (Ha, NII, OIII 5hrs each) HaOIIIRGB (5:5:2:2:2 hours) plus 15 x 1 minute subs RGB for star blending.

I did ponder the different colours apparent in the 3 main nebulae in the view, but someone once said 'respect the light', so when I went back and checked the Ha integration, it was very obvious that all 3 were emitting at different levels. So, I think the colour balance reflects what was captured.
thanks for looking!
cheers

Up and running huh?..21hrs? come'on you're just getting started I recon Martin ;)..well you are I guess:question: :P
Quite a different view, unique framing I'd say, I have never seen a similar framing of that area before, the stars look great.

Tks Mike - Actually, to be honest, I wanted the frame to include the Gem Cluster which is just out of view, so that sucks. It's not too bad though.

Maybe a tad too yellow for my liking, but kudos Martin ...very tidy indeed

Very cool field. Where did you manage to fit 20hrs? You must have a time dilation machine between sucker holes.

Hello folks and thanks for the posts.
I had a good run of clear nights and the nice thing about objects that rotate around the pole is that they are 'up' for a good while. I imaged this object for about 5-6 hours straight from 7pm.
The Ha emission is much more striking and interesting and I will be uploading those tonight.

My favourite part of the sky
Especially NGC 3247, in the centre of the field, which I call, the whirling dervish nebula
Oh and 3199 is another truly fascinating object as well

Great field of view and the Ha looks very similar to what I first got with RGB and Ha around 3199. I agree the image is a little yellow to my taste, but each to their own. The area surrounding 3199 is tough to integrate in my experience. I found it produced a flat looking object.

Hi Paul and thanks.
I absolutely agree, NGC 3199 is really odd to process and as you say can lead to a flat result.

Hi folks
as I indicated earlier, the Ha emission in this area is far more impressive.
Take a look here:
