Very very good.
I read the gear and I was surprised it was an astro 40D. I am even more impressed, I assumed it was with a dedicated CCD. The 40D is a way cool camera.

Exceptional image Doug, and when you take into account this was taken with a DSLR, its an exceptional image.
Also goes to prove that exposure count.
well done
Martin
I must confess I was bowled over as this came up on the screen Doug, let alone the full high res. Possibly your best image? How long have you been hiding that Tak in your arsenal? (and the 40D you have working wonderfully obviously)
More, More!!! :D

Nice repro Doug. The core is nicely defined now. How much is the image cropped?

Not too much Craig - just enough to get rid of the stacking artefacts and the slight FOV differences between the Ha and OIII data sets.

Thanks Logan - but I have to confess that the Sky 90 is on loan from Craig_L. Very nice scope and great FOV with the Flattener/Reducer.

Nice field of view Doug. Detail is looking excellent. Maybe some more RGB to bring out the blue stars a little. Lovely work all the same.

Thanks Mike:thumbsup:
cheers Paul - I have a heap of RGB from Sat night that I might try to incorporate. I do enjoy the "POP" NB stuff gives, but I don't enjoy those red stars.
