Mars tonight, before the clouds rolled in.
C11/DBK618
Approx 2000 frames stacked in AS!2, deconvolution in Astra Image, rotated & cropped in PS CS6.
I think my collimation is still out a little bit.

Had another go, using some techniques described by Asimov.
What do you think?

Pretty pleasing images for such a small subject. I prefer the first though. The second one seems to have some unnatural looking sharpening artifacts.

Pretty good result. The ghost effect could be due to collimation, but I've also seen it when seeing is fast flickering.

I like the extra detail in the second image.

Thanks for the view - I am still amazed by the features that can be taken on Mars!

Thanks guys.
Still long way to go.
Lately I've been inspired by Asimov's efforts - just shows what this equipment is capable of in the right hands in the right conditions.
In my case the operator is the weakest link...

I'm sure the seeing was partially responsible, but I still believe I can get better collimation.

I like the second shot. I think it shows more detail whilst remaining quite natural :)

Nice one Arek. They seem to have some slight alignment problem but the second one looks much better!
Plenty of detail and the pole.

Cheers Daniel.:)
