hi All,
couldn't see a section for introductions, so just thought I post one here. I've just signed up, but have been an active member of the Stargazers lounge in the UK for several years and moved to Melbourne last year. I've been doing astronomy for about 4.5 years now, started with a 10" dob, but very quickly got into imaging, went through several scopes and cameras, my most recent setup being a Skywatcher 150pds on a HEQ5 mount, 1000d, plus auto guiding scope, all hooked up to a laptop. Unfortunately, I real don't have the time and energy to set it all up these days, especially with having 2 kids, so I've decided to scale back and have sold the big setup.
However, I still have a Celestron SLT mount, Celestron C80-ED scope (absolutely fantastic optics), 450d and a fast 85mm f1.4 lens on it's way. The idea being to use the 450d on the SLT with the fast lens to capture some 30-60s exposures of wide vistas.
This may change in the future as I'm always swapping and changing kit and I also have lots of other bits and pieces, filters, lenses etc which I might drop into the for sale section.
I look forward to being a member and hopefully making a contribution.
cheers Lee
