Hi all, this was my second go at this comet, after missing it by 1/4 FOV last night. It is magnitude 14.2 in the constellation of Horologium and about 12 degrees east of Archenar. 8x4 minute exposures with Takahashi 160mm f3.3 astrograph and Astro 40D at ISO 1600. The small tail shows up on the original exposures.

Well done Lester. That must be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Thanks Proky, Andrew and Graeme for your comments. Yes finding these faint chaps can be a bit hit and miss. I was after another comet tonight and missed it by a fraction of a FOV. Next time.
All the best.

Thanks Matt and Justin for your comments.

Yes Justin, I think the "comet bug" has grabbed me. Hope to hunt down the next big one for 2013 tonight or tomorrow night.

All the best.
