Seeing was ok but had troublesome jetstream at times, disallowing my normal 1.6X resize. In the shot is Tethys.

This image, well it's VERY interesting as it was shot with no IR/UV cut filter as a test. I figured at the high alt. of Saturn, perhaps it won't be needed. Focus is harder to achieve but there is certainly more detail to be had. Not sure about colour. I'm thinking this is perhaps more realistic..

2nd one with no filter looks interesting for sure AsiJohn.
I flick between the 2 images and it makes the first one look cartoonish if you know what I mean.
I do like it with no filter

Nice work Asi, certainly up to your usual high standard. My initial reaction was that there is more detail in the 2nd image, both look great but I think the fainter detail that there are hints of in the 1st image are just better defined in the 2nd. Like the colour of the 2nd, of course that is such a subjective topic, but it looks good to me as the rings ended up looking that bit whiter.

Thanks all. Overall, I think it still pays to keep that IR/UV cut on. There is colour bleed plus some other weird stuff happening in the second image. The filter tends to 'tighten things up' even if perhaps it doesn't give a true colour balance theoretically.. > "define true colour" ;)

Nice work John. Some storm detail high up in the temperate zones by the looks of it.
I prefer the second image myself.
Of note there is a need to image Saturn with CM330 visible. If you get this let me know and I will pass you onto the person who requires the images. Trev you already know who I am talking about.
