Tomorrow I am being interviewed for TV.
No it's not for Astronomy
My son Aaron (Harry) is at present at the very first SuperCamp being held in Australia.
Started as Summer Camps in USA over 30 years ago this is the first time they have held one in Oz.
As the kids come from all over Australia they needed at least 3 parents that were sort of local (the camp is only 1 hour away from here). Bit hard to get parents from interstate for a few minutes of interviews. I was asked, and said yes.
The TV show coming out to do it is 'The Project' on Channel 10.
Don't know when it will be aired though, apparently in a few weeks time
This is SuperCamp: http://projectkidsconnect.com/
and here because he is a senior student: http://projectkidsconnect.com/for-parents/about-senior-camp/

Thanks JJ but I don't know about exciting for 'everyone'
All I know is that my son is excited to be there.
He will be tired by Sunday though.
He has just spent 8 days prior to this camp at RAAF Base East Sale doing his General Service Training to assist in his entry into ADFA (Australian Defence Force Academy), then we saw him for nearly 2 hours on Saturday night while we picked him up from the Bus from the RAAF base at 7:45pm, then quickly had dinner with him then dropped him off at Supercamp at 9:30pm. We pick him up on Sunday afternoon.
Then Monday he goes straight back to school.

He sure did John.
He said they did 8 days of Drill, Drill, and more Drill, abseiling, Mountain-climbing, went to Officers Training School, went flying in the Raytheon Super King Air 350, ate tons of food, had GST Training and classes each night, did more Drill, ate more food, went to Sale Aerodrome for more study, and did more Drill.
He loved it :)
I saw him today at the TV interview at SuperCamp and he is having a blast there too ;)

I am a bit worried about you Ken. All night video broadcasts on the internet. Interviews with the media. Next you will take over your own tonight show on television.
Harry is lucky he only does all the drilling! :)
It makes me feel very good to hear good news about what others are doing.
Thanks
Bert
I hope Aaron gets in
We are watching ,The project, every time so we will see your head in a couple of weeks :P
GST training!?!?! That sounds a bit dry.
"Okay everyone, listen up. Add 10% to everything. To everything! Got it? Good. End of training"

Well, the interview is done
We were told by the organisers which questions we would be asked (the questions were actually designed by the staff of the camp and the Channel 10 Crew) so we could work on our answers for the interview.
I was told I was going to be asked 3 basic questions and told what those questions would be.
Simple enough
Then for the next 20 minutes or so, while they were taping the kids doing their stuff, I tried to think up up some great answers. But the problem was I was hyped up from watching the kids getting hyped up and dancing while learning . . . YEE-HAAAAA!
It was like a sugar rush
Then in a mad rush I was taken outside, miked up, asked to sit with Sam the reporter in front of the camera, and then I was asked about 5 questions that were not even close to what had been planned
My head was still spinning from the activities inside so I just blurted out whatever came to mind
I have no idea how it went. I prepared myself for a serious interview, but ended up hyped-up and thrown in the deep end with no planning.
I felt like a Cheshire Cat on uppers
If I look like a fool, then it is totally understandable
They said it will be on in about 2 weeks.
