Hi everybody,

Had some clear and still skies tonight. Unfortunately the near full moon washed out any deeps sky objects but I still managed to take a few shots.

I'm still garbage at polar aligning the CGEM, but the built in polar alignment feature on the mount allowed me to do 60 second subs... the M20 Trifid Nebula is 25 minutes of subs through a UHC/LPR filter.

The M62 is only 2.5 minutes worth of 30 second subs.

Clear skies.

A nice haul, Mariusz. I'm looking at your list of equipment and trying to guess which camera you used for each shot. Looks like quite a bit of gear got a workout!

Thanks Ivan,

The planets have been taken using the DMK618 CCD through RGB, IR cut and IR Pass filters, the moon, Globular cluster and Trifid Nebula have been taken with a Canon 40D.

For the moon I used the OIII filter then just monochromed the image.

I guided the scope using GPUSB and PHD, I was only playing and getting to know the NexGuide, so didn't take anything that was worth while.

You've done a great job in capturing all those images , I am very jealous. I still mainly get fuzzy blobs of the planets but as the rain seems to have cut back, I hope to try again soon. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback Peter.

Practise makes perfect... very rewarding, I found myself to be improving and learning something new with every outing... I just wish I had more time to spend with the scope.
