Hello everyone!!
Despite my dragging the laptop off the table during the imaging session last Sunday night - my foot got caught in the cables snaking across the lawn - I managed to image both Mars and Saturn (new image loaded).
Both of these were done using eyepiece projection and processing was done in Registax6.
I'm fairly happy with my Mars image however I found it very hard to focus on Saturn. At first I thought it might have been poorish seeing but having just viewed Tom's version of the same night at about the same time I think it was definitely my focusing! (Collimation was fine as I do that before each session.) Hang on, perhaps it may be some residual thermals coming off the neighbour's roof...
Anyway, there's always another night!
Cheers,
Mario
PS I've also attached a picture of my setup which shows the many trip hazards I had to deal with. This is not my usual imaging spot but it did allow me to see past the Lilli-Pilli tree that is the subject of much vibrant discussion in our household!!
