Had a clear sky this evening, and looking west from our yard,we watched Venus and M45 setting over a gum tree.Thought I'd try and capture the event. The view through my 15 by 80 Vixen binos on a tripod was a real treat.

Think I like the first image best.Hope these are of interest.

Nice, far better than my effort last night but it was nice just to be out there looking at it.

Thanks David,Derek and Liz on your thoughts on which one you like, its good to get peoples views.

Yes,Jarrod good to just look at this,my preference is to view this through binos. The location for these photos was right outside my observatory,on the lawn. Tonight,I will use a small EQ mount with ED 81 that is PA on the lawn, for some close up images, and the 70-200 on another camera, most of these images are taken at around 70 mm. (Hopefully we will have some clear skies)

Thanks for looking-Chris

I'm between #1 and #2, both have a high level of awesomeness and astonomicity!
Very nice result Chris, it's exactly how I would like to remember this event, with some foreground element, and a long focal length.
