Well;I have been spending many hours in the field the last couple of months, which is enjoyable, but not much success in finding dingos or
interesting wildlife photography opportunities. This one image of a varied
sittella is the only image I felt was worth posting.Yes-its 'up side down',
but that's the way the species works they cork screw hop around branches
and tree trunks looking for insects and spiders-they move very fast!difficult
to photograph.I used the Canon 400L and 50D in manual mode.

Hope you find this little fella interesting-thanks for looking,Chris

Yum. Firstly at the image but also in finding the sittella - I can't remember whether I've ever seen one. I've got the 400mm lens but only a 400D. Anyway, would you like to share which settings you used?

Just thought I'd have a quick look here and once again was worth it.

Settings, partial metering, iso 400,speed 1/800 F 6.3.But was constantly charging,as very poor bleak conditions of the day, subject distance around 12 ish metres, bird is around 100 mm long-so a difficult task-was quite pleased how this turned out. Thanks Derek and Greg
