G'day,

I'm new to this skywatching caper, so apologies in advance for dumb questions.

Captured a few images of the Moon last night and was intrigued by a particular formation (as illustrated in attached images).

Had a look on Google Moon, but couldn't locate or identify.

Any education appreciated.

Cheers,

Dan.

It's Rupes Recta, a linear fault:

hi Dan. the Lunar Republic Full Moon Atlas is very useful for identifying features - has a nice mouseover for names. Regards Ray

Looks like a great lunar reference.

Thanks Ray!

(I have much to learn ...)
