other time I just shake my head and facepalm.

I sometimes wonder what algorithms are used by advertising companies to select add for placement on sites. These recent 'news' links certainly make me shake my head and facepalm.

How are they selected????? By the amount of laughs they will create?

Please no 2012 conspiricists or Astrology debunkers .... we've been there ;) But how are these crazy adds selected?

Maybe you're thinking about it all wrong Paul...

Maybe you have to think astrologically...

When Mercury vapour lamps are at culmination and Pluto enters the house of Minnie Mouse, with Goofy rising, than its a good time to advertise on IIS!

The big trouble is that astronomy is a science that only a relatively small number understand or follow whereas astrology is followed and believed by more than half the worlds population and other than us astonomers no one else sees the difference.

There are probably more people in Australia that believe the world will end on 21/12/2012 than there are astronomers in the whole world.

I think that if sounds close to the mark it will probably do.

They are probably worth checking out just for the chuckle factor.
