Have posted a couple of pic's of this Mount for the benefit of a member who wants to do some research before purchasing.

This Mount is well known and carries different ' Company Brands ' ... in which case here is the ' Bintel Branded ' one .... which a lot of people have.

Very light weight .. and can hold quite a decent weight.

Thanks Flash. I'm curious if the mount is more stable with the retracted legs and semi-pier than it is without the pier and the legs extended?

I don't know Tony ... never had the pier off .
The ' baby brother ' of this mount is listed at Bintel... Doesn't have the Pier.

Here is a review on it ... graciously submitted by Vincent.

:) The pier only adds hight so a longer refractor can be used without having to sit on the ground .
I still have mine because its a sweet grab and go mount , it used to hold my sold 150mm f/5 refractor (only just ) , but holding my also sold 80mm Aplanat seen here , its perfect .
I think for the price these cant be beat .
As flash knows ,, they will hold a 127mm triplet , but only just .

Hi flashdrive,
First thing is you forgot or I cant find the asking price.
Second, Bintel show the mount with a Lunt LS 60, I have a Lunt and it has clam shell fittings. Will these be ok with the mount or does it come with its own fittings that would be suitable?

thanks

mike.

Just as well that I re read the post and then went on to be able to answer the questions that I asked you!!
