Continuing the birdlife series I have been taking with the fabulous TEC110 fluorite triplet telescope here is one of a Kookaburra yesterday.

It had started to rain and that's what those streaks are - raindrops! Canon 40D, flattener.

Beautiful image, Greg. sharp in focus and lovely background. I'm sure Yuri wouldn't have guessed it would be used as a kookaburra scope.

Yes that's right! I also posted these bird photos over at the TEC Group. I was surprised by the number who commented and also had a request from an Italian Magazine to print one.
I suppose those big 500mm Nikons and Canons are super expensive so if you can live without autofocus (which would make it hard to catch birdds in flight though) these scopes make a very good alternative.
