Here is another image I took over the last weeks. It is a popular area in Puppis, home of the ruptured cometary globule CG4.
HaLRGB for a total of about 14 hours, mostly in Ha. Interesting to note the interaction between the Ha emission and the dust present in the field, pretty nice to me. The link:

From the page it is also possible to see a close up of CG4 I took a couple years ago using a rented RC.
Comments as always are welcome :)

Hi Marco,
That's a top photo.
I didn't know about this target.
I found another pic here:

Yeh CG4 is a great target and it lends itself well to wide field, a close up of the giant worm eating the galaxy is always worth showcasing too
Very nice work Marco Polo

Very nicely done Marco with your trademark look.
Great framing which is hard with this object as its so faint, to get that open cluster in down the bottom.

A wonderful image Marco ... especially the hi res "original" version! Very nicely done!
I love the combination of colours in this object. Quite unusual IMO.

Very nicely processed, with lots of lovely smokey grey cloud showing through. Great detail in the cometary globule and the colouring is pretty nice.
Only thing I can see is the rather liberal use of the minimum filter. The cluster is showing signs of the filter use. It is only slight, but a little distracting.
That said, the detail and scale of the image is great.

Thanks Paul, in fact I applied a bit of minimum and you are right about the slight artifacts in the cluster, there are some tiny stars there that perhaps suffer the processing  I take your point and will see to reprocess the luminance in case and reduce the "distracting" effect
Thanks Prokyon
Thanks Marcus, the Ha to me add a nice balance to the area returning the kind of glowing effect of the gasses there. I was a bit surprised though that with almost 7 hours of exposure in that filter there was not really so much signal in this band..
Thanks Peter!
Thanks Greg, a bit tight perhaps, unfortunately due to some problems of frame rotation between the filters (the camera head moved between sessions without me realizing it) I had to crop the fram of about 15%, pity, that would have left some more "air" around..
Thanks master Mike ;)
Thanks Alpal, I knew about this image of Tom and I find it very well done!
Thanks Ross :)
Thanks Marc, you should try it with one of your lenses for a real wide field view
You always very Kind Louie, :thanx:
