This is a rough comparison of Mars images from November last year to a couple of weeks ago. Mars is now in Northern Summer and the shrinking of the Northern Polar cap is quite evident. Thanks for looking :),

PS added update 'til 1st April plus simulated views from above using the 3d Transformation Tool in Photoshop.

Hi Tom,

Nice set of images. I've also been watching it change visually.
Thanks for posting.

Nice one Tom. Something I have noticed over the course of this apparition but it is nice to see it laid out in sequence with appropriate scaling.

Excellent comparison Tom, would be most interesting to go through the same exercise but presented to reflect the changing apparent dia of the disc of the planet, 7" in Nov to 14" in Feb really is a pretty significant change.

Well done
Regards

Thanks very much for the comments. Trevor I intend to get a compilation together of the apparent sizes of Mars over time. I think my earliest shot of the planet was April last year.
