View Full Version here: : Just wondering
Im sure this will sound like a dumb question to those in the know. What do you use a really fast refractor for? 6" F/1.25!!! astrophotography or visual? is this useless? do you need a paracorr like in fast newts? Thanks Cam

If you send it over to my place, I'll test it out for you. :D
lol.. I found a lense for sale. Thinking of making my own refracor telescope. Just wondering what a scope this fast could do

Cam, you should check out the discussion on this at CloudyNights here:http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/3399031/page/25/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1.
The gist of it is that there's actually 6 or so lens components and it won't work properly without the others. Sadly it's worth avoiding. However check out the images taken at the end of the CN thread. It's pretty impressive when all together.
Cheers,
Cam
Seems more of a headache than anything else lol, Thanks a lot for the link.
