Well it has finally happened! I have collected the data and processed the image as best as I could.

This Wolf Rayet has very little SII in it, so I did a combine of LRGB data with Ha OIII SII data. Not sure if I did this right or if indeed if I can repeat this again. I am reasonably pleased with my first effort. Star colours need some correction, but these are not too bad.

The data shows the shock waves and blasts travelling out from the shock waves.

Whoa, that's pretty cool, I like that. Far to many stars of course, a starless version would be cooler, but excellent never the less.

Looks pretty good Paul. The stars are a distraction of course. Perhaps a faded minimum might help.

Cheers

Thanks guys, appreciate your thoughts.

Sounds like a great idea, would you care to give me tut on how to do it. I have an action in PS that is less than perfect; having seen yours a few times I would really like to know how you do that.:)

Steve, I've already done a minimum mask on it just to get the stars a little less bright. I will give it a try though and see if that makes and improvement.

My version of a starless. Not exactly star less

Looks good to me and those stars were there so why take them out?
I tried to make a starless version once like you Paul but i got the same result :)

Like you Martin I like the stars being there, but as a novelty I also like the concept of seeing some thing starless. The action I have is just crap though despite it being names star removal. If I could get a good starless version that might provide a bit of interest too, but not my preferred view.:)
