I'm getting a northern view:D:D:face:

I've a couple of big old wattles on the council verge at my place. One of them would be at least 15 - 20 meters tall (dual trunk with badly included bark) and the other is nearly as big, dying and breaking up in storms. Both lean over the road and the big one is leaning my way as well (twin trunker) They are both near the end of their lives and have to go. I did think of doing it myself (fully qualified), but its a big job at anyone's age cutting up and dragging that stuff to the fire pile, and i didn't really want to do it. So I rang the council on the off chance of seeing if they will come to the party.

They are going to remove them for me. :D Woo hoo! Northern view in a few weeks :D I hope I get to keep all the chip. :confuse3:

Can't do much about the NE to E. Too much mountain to shift. :P Besides they block all the lights from the coast ;)

Congrats David.
A great win for you..
Some councils are hard to deal with.
We all should see some great images from you from north sky.:)

ha ha - not really - most of the time you just need to point out what a legal liability the tree is and it's gone in a flash ... just a matter of converting it to language they understand!

They'll normally replace it with something though, usually fast growing and native.

Oh no they wont be replacing it with anything. :) I have that well in hand. It wasn't so much a case of jumping up and down or anything. I know what i'm talking about when it comes to trees, so i went straight to the man in charge. ;) The trees had to come down. No ifs or buts, I just didn't want to do the job. As for replacing them, where I live they aren't going to be worrying about a couple of old wattle trees.

 Actually Dave its really only for those two Beerwah boyz, Mark and Adam. They come out here when its clear and all they want is Northern Sky. So I'm happy to oblige now. Except for that damn Brush Box further up the hill. :confuse3: :D

Not a problem Terry. I get it now but only for an hour or two. Take the tree away and it will be closer to 4 hours I think. Lets find out :D

I've been trying to get you to do that for ages Dave. One night, an Astrofest does not make. ;) Need at least 3 :D
