Hi.
Just finished processing a rough Lamda Centauri Neb. seeing several members have been imaging it of late. Conditions poor with cloud patches and VERY dewy. Increasing cloud made me pack it in after these shots. I used my 6 inch F3.6 Meade Schmidt Newtonian, 4x 5 mins ISO 200 with Baader UHCS filter. Modded 350D camera The 6 inch fits it all in nicely. I note that the coma seems worse on one side than the other, yet it seems in collimation as far as using eyepieces go. Perhaps its offset mirror is the reason.

Thanks.
I want to do better, and try and get my coma corrector going with the 6 inch scope too.

That's an excellent wide field image of IC2944. I love it.

That scope would RULE as a comet scope mate.

Only a perfectionist would worry about the coma. ;)

Next time, take the pic with the object slightly further to the left of frame and crop some of the coma out ;)

Howdy
Coma shouldnt be a problem from now on, Ive installed my Baader coma corrector and it works great, eliminating the vast majority of the coma, now all I need is some clear nights :)
