If you havent seen a total solar eclipse properly (even a short one) your in for one of the ultimate astronomical treats one day DP.
been said a million times - Pics and vid will never ever convey the 3D experience fully, there just a glimpse through a dirty window/mirror at the experience IMO (like most things lol), but i still really love the pics of course - we can all try - and they are getting closer all the time, especially since dslr's become common. and it's great if you didnt get to go eh least you get to see/share it kinda

I was lucky enough to see a full eclipse in the UK in late 1999.Its a 'full on' experience involving a few of the senses. Not only is the loss and colour of light the most eerie sight but the immense temperture drop is awesome too. I was watching through a pair of welding goggles outside of my works but had to keep removing them just to look around me at the wierd colour of everything. Fantastic!
