Wow! Your new IIS shop is fabulous- lots of goodies & well laid out.. :D

I have a question regarding the solar glasses....

For people like myself who wear glasses to view distance, are the glasses safe to be worn on top of (if they can?) existing glasses?
Oh boy.. you should see me wearing my 3D glasses on top of my existing glasses at home- brings the family to their knees in hysterical laughter... :rolleyes:

Regarding your question - the eclipse glasses will be fine to wear over the top of normal glasses, as long as you're careful to ensure they cover as much as possible and don't let any direct Sun leak in the sides.

I think you'd need to hold the eclipse glasses in place across your normal glasses, rather than just having them sit on your ears/nose - but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Taping them to my glasses sounds a good idea and one I hadn't thought of. I was terribly scared that having them sit on top might leave some gaps for the sun to peep thru, so that puts my mind at ease. :thumbsup:

Remember you need to get them off your glasses when you are in total eclipse - you don't want to be fumbling with tape! Of course, only in a total eclipse situation, not a partial eclipse not for the transit of Venus. :eek: One small "bulldog" clip might do the trick - securely held in place but quickly removed. Get a nice coloured one to increase the hilarity for your family :screwy:
