Managed 1 hour and 50 minutes worth of Ha through my QHY9/FLT98 combo. (The last 10 minutes was lost due to cloud)
11 x 10 minutes (Ha 12nm)
PHD Guided with Orion SSAG/80mm combo
QHY9-M
WO FLT98
AstroTech AT2FF flattener (still needs playing with distance)
Processed in StarTools' latest beta
Will aim for another 2 hours worth and then start capturing some LRGB data to add some colour.

Nice result with good contrast. Composition isn't optimal - there's more of interest above that's been cut off. Great start though.

Thanks for the reply, Graeme.
Cheers for the info about the composition, it did look like there was more above. I originally had it vertical to the camera which was cutting off both ends of nebulae, so I had rotated the camera to where I had guessed the 'correct' orientation. Was close!

Yes, diagonal is the way to go with the composition, but move it down a bit. Here's a similar sized field with slightly different placement.

If your mount can cope with it, you'll find 15 min subs are less noisy with a 12nm filter. It doesn't let much light through.

Will definitely do 15 minute subs on the HEQ5 Pro no problems, Graeme. Will give it a try if the sky is good to me again. Last night was terrible.
Ahh I see now, cheers for that link. I'll just keep rotating it and see if I can match that composition.

Good effort. Just the framing and longer subs as has been suggested.

Thanks Ross.
I'm guessing Gem or some other Canberran has made a recent purchase as the weather has been just terrible for me lately to get more exposures...
