More details on the new companion. Looks as though we'll have Matt Smith for at least for the new series.

John Simm was just fantastic as the Master. New companion looks pretty much like Amy without the red hair. David Tennant was such a good doctor.

Sounds as though something interesting is planned for the anniversary.

Where is it up to for you guys in Oz?
Are you guys all caught up?

I'm loving the change that Moffat has had with the writing, Russell T Davies nearly ruined the show for me, finally we don't have a wet Doctor. Don't get me wrong Tennant was a great Doctor but the writing was abismally non Doctoresque, way too much emotion for me.

Still just seen the teaser for the new season, looks good but it's a shame we have to wait so long.
Hopefully the easter special will be better than the christmas one.

Hi Guys,

looks like I am not the only Dr Who Fan. So here is the Question...

In relation to the last five series of Dr Who which do you consider to be the best episode?

For me it has to be "Blink" with David Tenant and the weeping angels.

:)

Regards PAul.

No idea as missed so many, when didnt bond to the new Doctor.
David Tennat withdrawals. ;)

Ooh, not sure Paul, so many, Weeping Angels was certainly great. Recently watched the episode where David Tennat died, and thought was wonderful (not that he died ) but with The Master, and members from Gallifrey.

Thanks for that, looks cool!

Hanging for the new episodes!

I really don't see why Matt Smith is so bad. I think he fits in quite well and I did get sick of the touchy-feely David Tennant episodes.

Any Doctor is better than no Doctor! :D

Paul,

Liked the weeping angels; but have to watch it when the youngest has gone to bed - it frightened the living daylights out of him. It was fun the following day at the Anglican school trying to explain to the Chaplain why he was frightened of angels. Took a serious amount of effort not to giggle - the Chaplain was very sincere but not a Dr. Who fan!!!

Personally - any episode with John Simm/Master. Thought he was good in Life on Mars as well

Paul, I tend to agree that Weeping Angels is close to my favourite but The Impossible Astronaut or The Rebel Flesh are up there and possibly the best moment comes at the end of The Eleventh Hour.
It's kind of hard to pin-point one epīsode with so many of the story lines crossing over.

I think The Silence were brillant as an enemy.

Like both David Tennent and Matt Smith. Both good in different ways. Some older Doctor Who fans seem to take some things a little too seriously. ;) Doctor Who is at its best when it is fun splashed with a little fearful tension. Chris Eccelston didnt have his heart in the role, and it showed for me.
Amy and Rory have run their course... time for new companions.
