Hey guys, after seriously getting into astrophotography about 6 months ago, and moving from the 350D to a QHY10, I thought I would share some of my progress so far. It was a bit of a steep learning curve when I got the CCD, but I'm pretty happy with the results.
M83 is 2 hours of 5 minute subs
NGC 1977 is 58 minutes of 2 minute subs
NGC 5128 is 90 minutes of 5 minute subs
What do you guys think?

Very nice Erik. Lots of detail in M83. What was the scope?

They're really good Erick
what scope did you use
perhaps a bit less sharpening if any on the M83 and CentA but good colour balance IMO.

Thanks. I'm using my 250mm x 1200mm Saxon newt reflector and MPCC on a G11. Captured in Maxim and processed i CS5. I agree M83 may be a little over sharpened, but I wanted to bring out some more detail in the dust lanes.

Not bad at all Erik. Possibly cut back on the sharpening a bit but I think you are off to a great start.
Cheers

Good shots Erik.
I really like the Running Man.

Thanks Ross. I like the running man too, it was before I had my COMA corrector though. Going to give the Orion region another crack with my shorter scope, to fit it all in, when it comes around again.

Hi Eric,
Gotta be happy with those results, looks like there's heaps of pontential with the new camera.
Cheers,
Justin.
