I bit the bullet and ordered the Shelyak LISA. It arrived within a week.
Its a good looking piece of kit. I'll post some pics over the weekend.
Does anyone have one? I might need some tips in using it.

It will be great to hear your opinions of it after some use. They are very interesting bits of gear.

Very good. I'm thinking of doing the same. How did customs work etc?

I expect it will be a bit before I roadtest it. Apart from the rain forecast for the next month in Sydney, I need to wait for a new faceplate for my QSI to arrive. I have a 583 wsg and the backfocus doesn't suit. I have a ws faceplate due late next week.
I also have a focal reducer for my RC8 on its way from Germany - the LISA is optimised for f5 scopes and I'd rather take advantage of the wider aperture of the RC8 compared to the Tak FSQ106.
On the bench it looks good - it is solid but not overly heavy. Can't wait to try it out

Best not to discuss that here - suffice it to say it went remarkably smoothly. I think there was about a week from order to delivery

There are a few users who are on the Astronomical_spectroscopy Yahoo forum.
The unit seems to work well. The specs say 390A/mm dispersion, ie 2.57A/pixel with an ATik 314l+ camera. Ideal for lo res faint object observering.
