The contrast is certainly increasing in the outer layers revealing fainter darker features. Very cool. Colour's going to be mind blowing.

As Kath and Kim would say

Thanks Marc...the mosaic is about 6500 pixels wide (generous overlap)

Nearly got all the colour data last night...sadly the weather forecast doesn't bode well for some still needed Blue channel data....

That's excellent Peter, and yes some of us do read the rubbish. I think you could be more specific on The Matilda Bay though, variety, quantity, keg or bottle etc.

Cheers,

Neale.

Well, yours is bigger than mine :D (about 2500 pixels worth) but I just can't get excited about it at the res you're presenting it I'm afraid  (A predictable response from me - I know)

Looks as though it's coming along very nicely though Peter.

Presumably in the final version you'll be reducing the luminance in the central portions a tad - it looks almost burnt out (?)

Cheers, Marcus

PS: I read the rubbish too :) ... and good rubbish it was!!

A great photo Peter.

Amazing tonal range and contours.

Plenty of detail there.i love the focussing system you used. its failsafe :-)
Good filter too, I still have one of the first Baader 2 inch 7nm Ha filters. they are better optomised for fast systems. Perfect for your astrograph. Cant wait for the colour image. Scott

That's certainly a lovelly and very detailed image Peter.

BTW, Redback is a really nice (or to quote Peter.M, "noiiiiice") drop or guzzle depending on the situation.

Darrin...
