Hi All,

Imaged Mars & Saturn last night in good seeing that held in nicely over the entire session of 3 hrs. Seeing like this is why I love living out here in Broken Hill.
Initially there was some very light cloud wafting through, my Mars data was all captured through this and yet the image was very stable and the level of detail the best I have had for Mars this apparition.

Moved on to Saturn and the seeing was very nice and just kept hanging in right through until I packed it in at 4am local.
Have attached 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set for Mars, for Saturn I have attached 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set along with an animation of all RGB data but with all frames resampled 130%. This animation demonstrates how consistent the seeing was over the session. Have also attached an animation of all IR data. There is bright spot within the storm remnant that is visible in the RGB animation and also in the IR animation.

Saturn data is very nice indeed. Very sharp detail on Saturn and the seeing looks good to me too.

Mars is a bit green Trev.

Seeing here was good but cloud cover meant no imaging for me.

Thanks very much Ray, have certainly had a good run with the weather out here of late,.

Thanks very much Mark, "go west young man", hope conditions improve for you imminently.

Thanks very much Paul, all of the Mars data was captured through light cloud, my histo was probably about 10 to 15% lower for each channel than normal and there were fluctuations within the capture for each channel. Regardless of that the detail in the live feed was still great and very steady. That has no doubt effected the colour balance and I have done no post capture adjustment. I have processed so much data since last Thursday, just have not had the time to go back and fiddle.

Thanks very much Darren, it has been pretty full on out here and I am just about running on empty. The next few days look like bringing some unsettled weather and a chance to catch up on some much needed sleep, not that I can ever get too much good seeing.

Excelling yourself again Trev.
So crisp.
You nearly separated all the rings.

Cheers Kev.

Thanks very much John.

Thanks very much Rob and congrats on your Saturn effort also.

Thanks very much Bird, I so wish you had made the trip out here, you would have loved the seeing and it would have been very interesting to see the results with your new camera in these conditions.

Thanks very much Kev, what a great observing night it was out the Nine Mile the other night. The last few days have just been a blur of capturing bonza data, processing and very little sleep.
