Do any of you guys own/use one?

I've been wanting to get one for a while, but they've been on the high side of expensive, like over $150.

That shop in SA, Telescopes and Astronomy (http://www.telescopes-astronomy.com.au/) is having a xmas sale, and the green laser pointers are now only $125 + $8 postage.

Not bad.. might have to try and convince the wife to add it to the xmas list..

I reckon they'd be great for star parties and as training aids when showing your neighbours or kids or friends etc.

btw i'm not affiliated with telescopes-astronomy at all, I just received the xmas specials email last night because i'm on their mailing list.

Thought you guys might like to know about some good deals, as seeker said in the feedback thread.

Hi Iceman,
I have a green laser pointer i got mine from the states, I bought 2 in Australia and felt i got ripped off,Dont believe all you read about "shines 2 miles" the best around made by sony (sony don't make laser pointers they may make small parts that go into them) They are only as good as your surroundings, but the guy i got mine from is honest if it says 5mw then it is 5mw. It would cost around $120.00 ozzie to your door.

I donot endorse his product or am i trying to sell you one but visit the link and contact him you will not do any better with service or product.

ah nice one, thanks Graeme.

I've emailed him to find out postage costs to Australia.

Did you bid on an one to try and get it cheaper, or use the Buy It Now for $79?

Also does the green beam ruin your night vision?

(I don't mean by shining it in your eyes either :P)

Got a reply already from him (within 3 minutes, goddamn!) :)

$79 buy it now + $21 postage = US$100 = AU$127

Pretty darn good.

If I win one on the auction it might be a bit cheaper too..
