Hi All,

Imaged Mars March 10th in quite reasonable seeing, have attached 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set along with animations of the RGB & IR data captured over a 2 hr session.
Moving on to Saturn, my first data set was probably the best data I have captured this apparition. The live feed was exceptionally steady and I was able to stack the majority of the it. Have attached 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set along with a 130% resample of my best RGB data set.

Have also attached RGB & IR animations from the 2 hr session. The seeing dropped off a little after the first date set and this is obvious in the animations. Both RGB & IR animations show bright spots within the storm remnant.

It has been a memorable couple of days out here , I had previously made commitments that tied me up all day March 9th & 10th which meant I went 48 hrs without sleep and have only got to process my data today.

Thanks for looking
Regards

Oh my goodness Trevor, these are superb images and enthralling animations to watch. Your work is so consistently world class - I really appreciate these stunning views you provide right here, on Ice In Space.

Now go and get some sleep!

Cheers

Excellent!

That first Saturn is so crisp and the detail firm and I can see it in the IR animation too which is a tough test for the faint storm.

Nice work Trevor. The Mars RGB really works for me! The Saturn on this occasion is superb too of course. I'm becoming more of a Mars fan in this apparition mainly because it's more seeing forgiving. There's been a few occasions lately where I won't wait for Saturn, based on the seeing while I'm viewing/capturing Mars.

Thanks very much Lester.

Thanks very much Deeno.

Thanks so much Dennis I really do appreciate your very kind words. It is amazing just how well good seeing can counteract the need for sleep.

Thanks very much Paul, reckon I will just have to put up with the conditions out here instead of heading off to Carnarvon.

Thanks very much Rob, it was a good night but as it happens the 12th was possibly better, well more consistent anyway.

Thanks very much Jeanette.

Thanks very much Matt, the good seeing just keeps coming, what a pleasure it is to be procrastinating about just how little to process my data. Over the years I have been very heavy handed on crook data to try and isolate storm detail on Saturn. With good seeing it just pops out.

Thanks very much John, yep, when the storm detail comes out in IR the seeing is pretty good.

Thanks very much David, the new mirror sure is a thing of beauty.

Thanks very much Asi, Saturn has been previously and will always remain my main focus but I dont mind capturing some Mars data while waiting for Saturn to climb higher. For sure Mars is more tolerant of ordinary seeing, particularly in IR.

Thanks very much Chris, generous praise indeed.
