That is a really nice image Jen. I compared it to my first attempt from a few months ago. I have a long way to go before getting close to this, or posting any images on IIS. If I could achieve this standard I would be over the moon as well.
:D:D:D thanks Stu  i was a little scared to put it up on IIS too  but that is how i will learn, all the pics i have done so far have always just been one shot pics ;) so im pretty happy with this one as OMG this registax and photoshop thing just does my head in  :rofl:

Nice Moon Jen, well done :) It was near perigee so it almost fills the frame exactly on the 500D and 12" Dob.

Cool shot Jen. Keep sucking all the photons out of it so we can start getting darker skies again.

That's really very good Jen. As a dedicated moon photographer I can say that contrast at near-full moon is a killer to photograph well. You quickly lose all manner of detail. You've done well here to keep a great deal of it! Excellent work.
:D:D:D well thank you Chris :)

See those little bumps at the edge of the Moon just right of the bottom, and at the right hand side? They are Mountains showing up against the dark sky
