figure i should share this around, since last update was in solar system, so here's my third long winded and self indulgent blog post from the Yukon:

I'm envious too. After a few nights in Norway I'd love to go on a long expedition like this! You must have some great images and time lapse videos, Phil.
Cheers,
Rick.

Great post again Phil, I reall enjoyed reading it and looking at your stunning photos.
The Haines Hwy/Skagway/White Pass area was one of the highlights of my own trip many years ago. It's a spectacular area. Three Guardsmen Mountain near the top of the Haines highway is very picturesque. I recall stopping at the same border post on the way down to Haines and having a long chat with the officer there, he thought I was mad bicycling around but was very interested. Generally I found people to be very friendly and helpful up there, especially when they learn you are doing somethiing out of the ordinary.
Wishing you clear skies, and hope you enjoy the rest of your adventure.

thanks all. glad you like the images!
thanks Marc.. the whole trip was predicated around timelapse.. so of course there will be a movie. but it will only be released when at least the first short compilation is complete.. the images i am prepared to dribble out though ;). i'm going to need to rent a better computer while i'm in scotland as i just can't process and render video effectively at the moment so it's going to be a while before anything is released.
you're not wrong mike.. *a lot* of planning. and a lot of money.. :help:
