:)This chatising / reprimands of members buying astro gear and causing the weather to unsettle, is beginning to have me believe its real. That it is actually causing rain.:)
I worry myself now.

I will not tell anyone when I buy some toys next time.:D

Cheers

The only way to prevent (what looks like) the inevitable is to stick it in a cupboard before you even open it Nettie.

Enjoy your new scope and I hope all goes well for you.

JJJ, I love the subliminal message in the photo - 2 nice new towers of brand new astro gear waiting to be unpacked - set against a background of heavy rain clouds. Hmmmm! Was that deliberate?

:2thumbs: Looks like clear skies this weekend. I bet you can't wait for first light.

Give it some wheels and we can start a Dalek revolution.

06-03-2012, 07:40 PM
Rod, she won't becoming down to Coona. It would be pointless given that we have the Mary Rose and Edwin to look through. :)
Besides, I only have a small car. Once my imaging gear is in, there is room for little else.

No worries! Yes, with Edwin and the Mary Rose, you'll have more than enough photons to enjoy. :)

I will be interested to see your imaging gear.

Fingers crossed for clear skies.

As per facebook, I reckon the only name for a scope that sparkles (and is owned by an astro chick) is Edward......! ;)

Hi jjj,

Well done, I don't know which of you two is looking finer there (yes, I do really, I do ;)).

I'll be most interested to see what you think of the Synscan controller. There have been some bugs, and flash upgrades to kill them, and it's a little idiosyncratic in some ways I think.

Keep well

Congratulations on new telescope.
:astron::stargaze:
This event is like the birth of a new baby where everyone is congratulating you.Except it ain't a newborn baby but a new Hot looking Skywatcher GOTO dobsonian.
I can tell that Jeanette is a heavy Telescope User and that the new scope won't be sitting around unused gathering spiderwebs.
