Hi,

I have an issue with my Skywatcher 10" Goto.

It's unmodified and the motor can't lift the altitude when it goes below 10 degrees, anything above 10 it can lift it higher but below that it actually slips below it.

I can't work out what's wrong with it, is this normal due to the weight of the Skywatcher?

Craig, did you purchase from a dealer? If so, you should be able to get some support.

You could also try asking for help here....

Mabe someone from here will chime in soon.

Good luck.

Michael.

The Clutch may be slipping on the altitude motor. Theres a bolt that needs tightening. See Document...

Thank you a million times, that was spot on, a couple of very small adjustments in the clockwise direction and it's working a treat!!

Np, glad it worked. I had the opposite issue - too stiff when moving manually.
