Looks like threads just disappear without any reference what so ever.
If you are not happy with what has been written feel free to tell me but don't be rude and just remove a post without any reference.
The thread that was removed was a critisism of the moderators but I don't see the harm in giving honest critisism. I am sure others feel the same.:mad2:
:screwy: i wondered where that thread went Douggy :screwy: one minute it was there the next its gone

This is not a democracy :P:question:
my feeling is that unless someone complains about a thread or it seriously breaches TOS then no thread should be deleted without prior consultation with the poster, I've said on many occasions that this would be the polite thing to do:D

I do agree Trevor but I assume the thread was taken as a breach of the TOS as it was having a dig at the moderation and it's uniformity. Even so a PM explaining so would be better accepted than just some smart alec remark from a moderator or as in this case a deletion without remark.
The terms of service are just purely an interpratation of these written words, some could consider "Cloud appreciation" Thread as spam and a breach of TOS but having been created by a moderator will never be questioned. To send an explanation isn't asking a lot.
Yes this isn't a democracy until the membership have had enough and walk away and IIS is no longer. A lot of long term members have walked or just sit and watch without comment. This doesn't lead to a good informative forum.
There is other forums around which have gone this way and now have an active membership of one or two. Go look at Southern galactic.

Doug I don't have time to reply to you now but I'll PM you tomorrow.
I'm sorry you feel hard done by but threads that question why threads were deleted or locked, are always locked and deleted themselves. There's no surprises there.
Locking this thread.
I'll talk to you tomorrow.
