Observed till 22:30 clouds came in packed up, clouds cleared away, just looked outside clouded over again.
I finished the Remainder of the Volans object tonight from David Frews Deep Sky delights inthe March AS&T.
ESO 34-IG11 a ring galaxy was first observed with the 13mm nagler at 140xmag the ring was seen like a faint P/N with a brighter blob inside one end, with a 9mm Sirius optics plossl both the interal part of the galaxy the two galaxies close by where plainly seen, I tried a 5mm Celestron X-Cel but to much magnifacation.
NGCs 2305,2307 are a nice little pare with Ngc 2305 sandwiched between two 12th mag stars.
Ngc 2397 is quie bright but small and has a 13mag star south, also in the same field of the 13mm nagler was ngc2442 and ESO 59-G11.
IC 2448 is a nice azure P/N, with a 9mm eyepiece and O111 filter was seen to be not round but sort of squarish.
The final two galaxies NGCs 2822/2836 are close to Miaplacidus and you have to put the star out of the field to see these galaxies at there best.
Saturn was even better than last night with four moons possibly five easely seen.
I tried for the deep sky objects for April from AS&T but they where to close to the zenith so gave them away for a later date.
I then observed the usual bright galaxies and globular cluster. then closed down due to clouds:thumbsup: :astron: :stargaze:

Some here. Packed it in by 10:30. Nice night out. I only view a few objects as I was setting up for some imaging. Unfortunately my mount seems to have forgotten how to autoguide  Just didn't happen for some reason, but it was still great just to get out and play.

It seems the Gremlins where out in force,as I couldn't get the Argo to be as accurate as it normaly is so I didn't observ as many objects as I would have liked. :mad2:
