Quite happy with the details on that one considering I wasn't expecting too much. My guiding wasn't 100% that night but I still got some nice details up close. This is 29x300s with a Baader Ha 7nm and my 90mm Triplet - 600mm FL. Love that little scope. :)
There's a bigger one here (https://public.bay.livefilestore.com/y1p6qiPTK0wJZaZDWa6AhQiQEA0mHg0AP2M WkkENbgBF5VAK8irxyo5db6qbO1exURD8cY LiaA2CgYeTBCvzVM2vQ/rosette_ha_600mm_ff.jpg?psid=1). My image scale is about 1.86asp with the QHY9. If I want to go to the next level I 'll have need to use the AO which I intend to do once I get my new motors as my gemini box is on its last leg and has a mind of its own now.

Spectacular Marc. You've brought out a lot of detail. What's up with the G11?

Works for me Marc! Some nice detail going on there.
If you get your guiding sorted, go for much longer subs with your Ha to get more signal depth.
Cheers, Marcus

A great shot Marc.
That looks more like coma than guiding errors as the stars radiate from the centre a bit. A slight spacing/flattener issues?
Greg.

Thanks a lot Peter. It's been giving me trouble for a while now. Reboots randomly, doesn't power up, stops guiding, stuff like that etc...
Thanks Marcus. Yes I definitely will revisit. Maybe try it with the hyperstar.
Thanks Mike. Yes I need to get back on the horse sometime.
Thanks Greg. Possibly focuser sag and focus shift. The QHY9 is too big for me to use my usual bracing plate so I need to make a new shorter one.

Another beautiful photo Marc.
So sharp and detailed and a great tonal range.
That 90mm triplet has such quality.
Thanks.
Ross.

Nice definition Marc, and with just a 90mm scope - well done! As you say, just a slight amount of camera tilt perhaps elongating the stars mainly in the top left corner - but a very nice image regardless. Last Thursday/Friday night certainly was an oasis in the imaging desert here in Sydney, wasn't it? (though maybe the word "desert" isn't the most appropriate metaphor!!) :)
Looking very good Marc and lots to see in this image
