Ok, thought I'd have a go at a 'planet' image :)

This one is taken from Tasman Lookout above Piha Beach in New Zealand. The panorama is a mosaic of 65 individual images.
I could not get the clouds to line up properly during the merging process so instead I added a simple blue gradient to the background, but I think it works well in this case.

Very nicely done.

I am not though a fan of this style of panorama as the spacial distortions "wonk" me out so to speak.

Thank you Greg. Yes it's a bit different to see the world from this perspective. It was quite fun to do and turned out better than I thought. I might try it again some time. I learned that it can be tricky though to find the right scenery for this kind of projection since the immediate sorroundings, and especially the ground, become so pronounced. So a place with some interesting ground features is preferrable.

Cool Rolf, I get the feeling I'm just balanced above and about to fall over. 65 images, blimey !! Bit of stitching done for that one for sure.
