Haven't posted here in a while. Got far too much work on my plate at the moment to be processing images for pleasure! But, managed to finish this one off tonight.

A lenticular cloud adorns the sky with Mount Cook and the Southern Alps in the background, as witnessed from the eastern shores of Lake Pukaki, on a mid-spring afternoon.

Great photo H

The blues of the lake and mountains really grab you.

I think that this is far and away the best image posted on here for weeks. Beautiful. Composition, balance and feel for the subject. Nothing fake, nothing doctored or processed much off camera - as you saw it and faithfully reproduced as per your usual minimalist style. Really makes me want to be there. Well done.

Thanks, Ric!

And, thank you, Chris. I was starting to think I'd posted a dud! Always appreciate your kind words.

By the way, potentially looking at a trip to Oregon mid-year. :eyepop:

Just depends on how/if/when I move to Melbourne and job prospects, etc. Got a couple of weddings I need to get out of the way and then I'm free!

Terrific shot H.

I agree with Chris. Beautiful blue tones and the natural beauty of the area is showing through easily.

Greg.

Thanks, Mike and Greg.

As for Melbourne, it's still several months away. Will see how it pans out. :)

Thanks, Deeno.

I'm making a 24x16" print of it and it looks beautiful. :)
